 Chapter 6. BUILDINGS AND BUILDING REGULATIONS
 Article II. BUILDING CODE

§ 6-16. Adopted.  

Latest version.

  • Pursuant to C.R.S., §31-16-201, et. seq., there is hereby adopted for the purpose of regulating the construction, alteration, moving, demolition, enlargement, improvement, repair, and use of any building or structure within the city, except work located primarily in a public way, public utility towers and poles, mechanical equipment not specifically regulated in this Code, and hydraulic flood control structures, the International Building Code, 2015 Edition, excluding those sections hereinafter specifically omitted, as published by the International Code Council, Inc. One (1) copy of the Code is on file in the office of the city clerk and may be inspected during regular business hours.

    The following portions of the 2015 International Building Code are specifically omitted from this adopting ordinance and not adopted, at this time, as part of the 2015 International Building Code:

    (a)

    All references to the ICC Electrical Code shall be construed to refer to the latest edition of the National Electrical Code as adopted by the State of Colorado.

    (b)

    All references to the International Property Maintenance Code shall be deleted in their entirety.

    (c)

    All references to the International Existing Building Code shall be deleted in their entirety.
